Debby Rutherford—Client Services Manager

After graduating from Colorado State University with an undergraduate degree in Spanish, we moved to Texas, where I pursued my teaching certification and master’s degree in Education Administration.   As a teacher and principal for thirty years, I was privileged to work teaching and supporting teachers and children, along with their parents in a diverse neighborhood.  Upon retiring, we returned home to Colorado to be closer to family.  I enjoy working The Rutherford Law Center, helping those in need of legal services.   I also hold a special title of Nana to two wonderful grandchildren!

Michelle Schroeter—Office Manager

Michelle joined Rutherford Law Center in November of 2022 as Office Manager.  She loves to serve as the hub of a busy office, since her middle name is ‘Organizer’.  Supporting leadership as Office or Accounting Manager or as Administrative or Executive Assistant has been part of her career for 20+ years.  Michelle’s duties are client billing, in-firm accounting, establishing procedures and organizing processes, HR tasks, and general support “to keep everything in the flow”.   In her free time Michelle loves to hike, drum, meditate; she also enjoys creating various unique foods and drinks.

Fran Ditchen—Senior Paralegal

I am a Colorado native and started my career working with the DA’s Office. I served nearly ten years working in Criminal Law. Having worked on hundreds of Domestic Violence cases, I chose to change my career path to focus on helping with family matters. I strongly believe that in order to come to a resolution, we must listen to our clients and understand the issues as we help them through their cases.

Walter “Walt” Tarrant– Paralegal

Walt is an alumnus of the University of Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  He is a Denver native who has created a passion for community, education, and achievement. His community outreach can be seen through his mentorship through Guide Right Leadership and his volunteer work in assisted living facilities. Walt has a decade of experience in the legal field through his military service and paralegal career.

Mary Albertoni—Paralegal

Mary is a proud Colorado native with generations of Colorado family behind her. She has a master’s degree from the University of Colorado-Denver in Business Administration. Her paralegal experience has been in corporate and non-profit law, personal injury, estate planning, and probate administration. She is married and has two grown children and a new daughter-in-law. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family, crafting, photography, and volunteering for several organizations. She is delighted to be with such a supportive and passionate team helping clients every day.

Lindsay Hammond—Law Clerk and Paralegal

After earning her undergraduate degree in journalism and French in 2011, Lindsay started her legal career in 2012 as a deputy clerk at Denver County Court. She was promoted to courtroom bailiff in 2013 and in 2015 became the exclusive judicial assistant to the Honorable Gary M. Jackson (retired). In 2016 she became an operations supervisor in the traffic/civil division. Before joining the team at the Rutherford Law Center, Lindsay further rounded out her professional experience in administrative roles at Public Defender’s Office and in the State Court system assisting unrepresented individuals as a Pro Se Litigant Coordinator. In June 2020, Lindsay was accepted into University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law where she is a 2L. While deeply interested in anything having to do with the law, Lindsay is especially drawn to practice areas in which she can help people move past life’s obstacles and envision bright days ahead.
